We recently learned that Jeff Hardy will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum and a torn rotator cuff. Even though WWE said that Jeff suffered the injury during a recent episode of Raw, it is believed that he actually suffered the injury back at July’s Great Balls of Fire show, and that he’s been working through it ever since.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Hardy will likely be out of action for six months, which means that he probably won’t return until either right before next year’s WrestleMania, or right after.
“Usually that surgery is about a six month recovery period which would put him touch-and-go for a WrestleMania return”
Meltzer also noted that Matt Hardy has a ton of ideas for himself now that his brother is out of action. WWE has always underutilized Matt as a singles wrestler, so it’ll be interesting to see how they use him this time around.
