RMC Sport report that Swiss international and AS Monaco forward Breel Embolo’s Lamborghini was destroyed in an accident in the Principality in recent days – Embolo was unharmed and it is not known if he was in the vehicle at the time or not.
Back in Monaco to prepare for the 2nd half of the club season after the World Cup, Embolo’s Lamborghini was seriously damaged in a car accident.
On the night of December 17th, Breel Embolo’s Lamborghini found itself in an accident in the streets of the Principality. Aside from the player’s Lamborghini, a yellow Ferrari and a white Nissan were also involved in the accident.
A witness told Swiss outlet Blick that the driver of the Nissan skipped a red light before hitting the Lamborghini of the Swiss international (63 selections) which was traveling on the main road. The accident reportedly occurred between the two vehicles and the Nissan reportedly ended up in a Ferrari that was parked nearby.
The police could only confirm to the various sources that the incident had happened in Monaco, without giving more details on the identity of the drivers. An employee of a local car dealership also confirmed the accident. “We don’t know who is at fault. It was night and the crossing point is not easy to navigate,” he told 20 Minutes. “Such an accident often happens here in Monaco in this place, it is an accident-prone place.”
Breel Embolo played the first 69 minutes of Monaco’s friendly match against Leeds (4-2) on Wednesday. He scored a double.
