Pre-Event Exhibition Taking Place At Xintiandi Style Through September 11
Pre-event exhibition at Xintiandi Style
Kicking off in less than two weeks, VOGUE’s global late-night shopping event “Fashion’s Night Out” is set to make its Shanghai debut on September 11, with nine malls on Huaihai Lu and a smattering of local boutiques taking part in the festivities. Some 50 domestic Chinese and international brands, ranging from Omega and Bally to Yi Qing Xuan and ME & CITY, will open their doors during the event, offering giveaways, discounts and limited-edition collections. As Time Out Shanghai adds, “cocktails, live music and famous faces (Fan Bingbing is the official representative) should help fuel the spending frenzy, and specially designated double-decker buses will ferry shoppers between destinations, thereby sparing Louboutin-shod feet the pain and indignity of going shanks’ pony down Huaihai Lu.”
To mark the official countdown to Fashion’s Night Out, this week Shanghai’s Xintiandi Style mall launched a fashion exhibition featuring creations made for the event by nine Chinese designers, including Uma Wang (winner of this year’s Audi Progressive Designer award), Qiu Hao (WGSN Breakthrough Designer 2011), Gao Xin of Even Penniless, Ji Cheng of La Vie, JNBY’s Li Xin and Liao Xiaoling of Shanghai brand Content, among others.
Running through September 11, the exhibition is on show at Xintiandi Style’s B1 Atrium.
