The Mae Young Classic saw the return of Serena Deeb in a WWE ring last year. Deeb came out of retirement to wrestle in the tournament, and even though she did not win, fans were definitely impressed by Deeb. Apparently, so were WWE officials, because PWInsider has reported that Deeb could be returning to WWE very soon. She was spotted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania recently, likely receiving medical tests for a possible signing. Deeb previously worked for WWE as part of CM Punk’s Straight Edge Society group. She was released from the company, but it sounds like Deeb could be receiving another chance in WWE very soon.
Enzo Amore is currently the Cruiserweight Champion and star of the 205 Live show on the WWE Network. Despite this, rumors of Enzo attracting backstage heat began to rise last year. Supposedly, he was even kicked off of a tour bus by Roman Reigns at one point. Those stories had never been confirmed before, but Enzo himself recently addressed the story during the latest Straight to the Source interview with Corey Graves on the WWE Network. Enzo seems to deny those reports, telling Graves, “if I can’t get from point A to point B not on a bus, how am I getting there? How could you kick me off of some place… you can’t kick me out of someplace I don’t want to be.” A preview of the interview featuring Amore can be viewed down below:
WWE has held numerous events in Chicago, Illinois over the years, and the city has gained a reputation for being one of the most passionate wrestling cities in the United States. WWE has typically held shows in the Allstate Arena whenever they visit the area, but the company recently announced plans for a show at the United Center in March. This will be WWE’s first time hosting an event from the arena in over twenty years. The venue has held shows such as SummerSlam from 1994 in the past. Stars such as John Cena, Roman Reigns, Samoa Joe, Kane, Alexa Bliss, Seth Rollins, and Jason Jordan are all being advertised for the show on March 3rd.
For the first time in over 20 years, @WWE returns here with @JohnCena and more! #WWEChicago
