Chronicle Launch At Sanlitun D.Lounge
This week, the Scandinavian men’s footwear brand Chronicle marked the launch of its new boutique at Sanlitun’s D.Lounge with a grand opening party and fashion show, both of which were heavy on references to motorcycle culture and hyper-masculinity. At the event, Chronicle CEO Kasper Leschley introduced the brand’s A/W 2011 line then, after a runway show, kicked off a cocktail party attended by VIPs like Chinese director Chen Daming (陈大明) and architect Nils-Peter Fischer, as well as local fashion bloggers and members of the city’s fashion media.

Breguet Opens Scitech Plaza Boutique
This week, the Swiss luxury watchmaker Breguet launched two new China boutiques, one in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, and a second in Beijing. The Beijing location comprises a 90 square meter space at the city’s Scitech Plaza shopping mall. According to Hexun, the Scitech location stocks 123 watches in all, with 20 rare and limited-edition timepieces among them, and also carries a range of Breguet’s pen collections.

Moncler Opens Fourth China Location In Sanlitun
It may seem like a strange time to open a store full of down jackets, what with Beijingers struggling with the summer heat, but this week the French jacket brand Moncler opened its fourth China location in the city’s Sanlitun neighborhood. Following Moncler locations at Shanghai’s Plaza 66, Beijing Guomao and in Harbin, the new 516 square meter Beijing location will carry menswear, womenswear, accessories, and collections like the Giambattista Valli-designed Moncler Gamme Rouge series and the Moncler Gamme Bleu and Grenoble collections designed by Thom Browne.
At this week’s opening, Moncler president Remo Ruffini said, “The launch of our new Beijing Sanlitun store marks an important step for Moncler’s retail development and brand image in the China market and throughout Asia.”

Hogan Debuts A/W 2011 Line At The Opposite House
This week, the Italian label Hogan launched its Karl Lagerfeld-designed A/W 2011 collection, along with its “Classic” series and Hogan Rebel Series, at an event at Beijing’s Opposite House hotel.
