That was absolutely insane. Ben Rothwell just submitted Josh Barnett! Incredible! #UFCNewJersey https://t.co/xrMhWzY4bE

Pro wrestler/MMA fighter Josh Barnett was forced to submit to fighter Ben Rothwell at UFC’s fight card Saturday night on Fox.
It was the first official submission tap-out of Barnett’s career, prompting questions about whether Barnett will retire from MMA after 18 years as a professional fighter.
Some speculation whether @JoshLBarnett retired tonight. He just told me he absolutely did not. Still plans to keep fighting.

It had been four months since Barnett last fought, so he will most certainly take a break from fighting while contemplating his next MMA move.
Barnett will shift back to calling New Japan Pro Wrestling broadcasts for AXS TV. Barnett will have a new broadcasting partner, Jim Ross, who will replace Mauro Ranallo at the next set of TV voice-overs in February, to premiere in March.
