Designer’s Third Season At Berlin Fashion Week
Zhai-Petrow
Returning to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in the German capital for a third season, Berlin-based Chinese designer Yujia Zhai-Petrow is set to present the Autumn/Winter 2013 collection from her cashmere line 1913BERLIN, embodying “luxurious urban comfort with global chic — effortless, ethereal, edgy.”
Born along the ancient Silk Road in western China, Zhai-Petrow began her creative career in fine arts before moving into the world of fashion. After time in New York, London, and Paris, Zhai-Petrow finally started her own line in 2010 after years of working in the cashmere apparel industry. Debuting in January 2012 at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin, 1913BERLIN by Yuiia has now set down roots in the city, producing effortlessly tailored knits from the finest Italian and Mongolian yarns.
