Returning to Hong Kong for the second year, the British Fashion Council‘s (BFC) LONDON show ROOMS event is set to introduce more of London’s rising design stars to the city’s style set. Taking place at The Space Gallery on 210 Hollywood Road, the showroom has some serious shoes to fill this time around after last year’s event, which featured the likes of E. Tautz, Jonathan Saunders, Mary Katrantzou, Nicholas Kirkwood, Peter Pilotto, Roksanda Ilincic and Todd Lynn.
As always, the organizers of LONDON show ROOMS are hoping to spur interest in young British designers identified by the BFC as “rising stars,” so this time around look for returning designers Tautz, Pilotto, Saunders, Kirkwood and Ilincic to be joined by Agi & Sam, Aitor Throup, Dominic Jones, Lee Roach, Matthew Miller, Shaun Samson, and William Richard Green.

Originally launched in Paris in October 2008, LONDON show ROOMS takes advantage of the popularity of the pop-up format in recent years to promote British design while nurturing new export possibilities. As Caroline Rush, CEO of the British Fashion Council, said of last year’s event, “Hong Kong is an invaluable market for our British designer businesses. It is important that they develop their knowledge of and relationships with both media and retailers in this market; LONDON show ROOMS Hong Kong enables them to do that.”
