Far from intimidated by a decrease in spending and traffic from mainland China, British footwear designer Rupert Sanderson opened his fourth location in Hong Kong this week at the swish Landmark shopping center. This store joins others in China at Harbour City and Elements Mall, as well as the sole mainland China store at Shanghai ifc.
Located on the Landmark’s atrium, Rupert Sanderson joins more than 200 stores and restaurants in the mall. The store design is consistent with other Sanderson locations, featuring wood paneling and a gold splatter wall, as well as the brand’s signature “pebble” design elements on door handles, tables, and lighting.
As he did last year to celebrate the opening of the Shanghai ifc location, Sanderson has released an exclusive collection of styles in honor of the new Landmark store. Named the Calice, Royal Oak, Bedfa, and Messina, the special-edition shoes incorporate the brand’s trademark gold heel.
