Game of Thrones season seven doesn’t return for a few more months (July 16 to be exact), but that hasn’t stopped us from speculating about what the latest season will bring: Will Daenerys and Jon Snow join forces for the battle of all battles? What’s going to happen with the whole white walkers situation? And of course, which of our favorite characters will kick it this year?
Kit Harington, who plays the gorgeous and constantly brooding Jon Snow, spoke with Moviefone about his new film, Brimstone, and of course, was asked about what fans should look forward to, and brace themselves for, in the upcoming season of GoT.
“It’s just amazing, in some ways, having no book to go on, because the scripts come through and you’re completely in the dark about what they’re going to do,” he said. “I just finished Season Seven, and I am already counting down the days until I get the Season Eight scripts.” Takeaway: Jon Snow survives season seven!
Dishing on the ending of the show, it seems that Harington is just as in the dark as we are on who ends up on that Iron Throne. “Everyone’s been wondering how it’s going to end,” he dished. “It’s really exciting to me not knowing, genuinely having no idea where it’s going to end, what they’ve got in their heads, and being the first to find out.”
“He might go through a big change [next season]” he added, without elaborating on what this big change entails. Learning how to ride a dragon? Getting a chance to rule over the Seven Kingdoms? Realizing his true parentage? ALL OF THE ABOVE??
