Liverpool have been impressing throughout pre-season, registering just one loss in their International Champions Cup campaign to Dortmund and not losing since.
Klopp has been working to integrate the likes of squad additions in Alisson, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri into the side as well as having to welcome back the return of his full internationals.
Dejan Lovren is the latest to arrive at Melwood following his involvements in Croatia’s second-placed finish in the World Cup, and may not be fit in time to face the Hammers.
The superstar front-three of Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are all match-fit and prepared to lead the Reds line, with Daniel Sturridge also having had somewhat of a scoring renaissance during pre-season and looks to have re-cemented his spot in the squad following an underwhelming loan spell at West Brom.
The Anfield outfit bid farewell to Danny Ings, who returned to boyhood club Southampton after struggling with injuries over the past few years.
Klopp will be put under pressure to win his first honours as manager of Liverpool and will be eager to begin the Premier League campaign with a solid victory over West Ham, who he defeated home and away last season.
Former Hammers boss David Moyes left the club despite guiding the side successfully away from relegation, replaced by Pellegrini. The Argentine manager invested heavily in his squad this summer and was also able to keep holds of the likes of Javier Hernandez, who previously spoke of his unhappiness at the London Stadium.
