UK trade show organizer ITE Moda has purchased of a 20 percent stake in Hong Kong trade show The Hub, an invitation-only event which helps niche fashion labels gain a foothold in the Asia market.
The show’s owner, Entrepot Asia, made the sale this week after The Hub co-hosted a forum on multi-brand retail during China Fashion Week on October 25. The inaugural trade show was held in August, featuring over 100 labels including Chester Barrie, Henri Lloyd, Desigual, Adidas-Y3, and many up-and coming brands looking to attract investors and buyers from Hong Kong, China, Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and more.
“Asia is the world’s biggest growth story right now, and Asian retailers have never been keener to find out about international fashion brands,” The Hub co-founder Peter Caplowe. “Bringing our knowledge of the branded fashion market within the region together with the industry knowledge and show expertise of ITE Moda means we’ll be able to create the best possible platform for brands wanting to do business in the region.”
