Ligue 1 21/22, Round 27 – 6/2/22
LILLE – 4 (Bamba 3, David 71, Çelik 84, Zhergova 90)
Leonardo Jardim, 5
Zeki Çelik, 7 – He’s struggled to match his form from the first half of last season for some time but this display came close to his best. A constant threat overlapping and on the right, he was unlucky not to claim at least one more assist to go with his powerful finish for 3-0 and a simple pass for the fourth.
Sven Botman, 6
José Fonte, 5
Tiago Djaló, 4
Benjamin André, 5
Xeka, 5
Renato Sanches, 8 – Effortlessly ran the game. Produced a lovely arching cross for Bamba’s opening header and a clever backheel assist for 2-0. His direct style, finesse and aggression were too much for Clermont. Sometimes playing on the right can dilute his effect on games but not here and he managed to sustain intensity after the break.
Jonathan Bamba, 6
Hatem Ben Arfa, 5
Jonathan David, 6
Others: Zhergova 6, Gomes 5, Onana 5, Yilmaz 5, Gudmundsson 5.
CLERMONT – 0
Ouparine Djoco, 5
Akim Zedadka, 5
Cédric Hountondji, 4
Alidu Seidu, 2 – Usually a full-back, he underlined his limitations as a centre-back in an uncertain and loose display. His nervy pass was party to blame for the opener and his heavy touch should have resulted in a second minutes later.
Vital N’Simba, 5
Johan Gastien, 4
Salis Abdul Samed, 3 – Sent off for a second yellow card at 1-0 on 68 minutes.
Jason Berthomier, 3
Elba Rashani, 3
Lucas Da Cunha, 5
Grejohn Kyei, 3
Others: Hamel 5, Billong 3, Dossou 5, Magnin 5, Khaoui 4.
