As reported by Le10Sport, PSG’s new sporting director Luis Campos has designs on hijacking AC Milan’s deal to sign Lille’s Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches.
Campos initially helped sign Sanches for Lille, a move which revitalised the player’s flagging career, before LOSC won the title last season and in recent hours Campos has again made an approach to sign the 24-year-old, say the outlet, with PSG preparing to make a formal offer to Lille soon.
Despite reports Sanches could join Milan for less than €20m, PSG could yet gazump the Serie A champions and secure the player for around €30m, who could be keen to team up with fellow Ligue 1 title winner at Lille, coach Christophe Galtier, who is in talks to join PSG as their new manager. That’s despite a verbal agreement being reached on personal terms between Milan and Sanches.
Since joining LOSC from Bayern Munich in 2019 for €20m, Sanches has made 91 outings for Les Dogues, scoring seven times and adding 10 assists in all competitions while also reaching 32 caps for his country.
