Introducing Red Currant, a fresh and vibrant mix of deep reds, soft pinks, and classic cream. These fresh floral kits for DIY brides are the easiest way to bring the polished look of a professional floral design together with a DIY-friendly budget.

We’ve selected a gorgeous mix of blooms to give your design the perfect combination luxury and affordable blooms. We’ve used Romantic Antike garden roses in a lovely pink which function not only as an impossibly gorgeous, luxury bloom but also act as the visual bridge between the lighter beige Sahara Roses and the deeper red ranunculus and burgundy carnations. Every design should have some texture, which the eucalyptus and spray roses fulfill perfectly.

The small package will give you enough flowers for building a bridal bouquet, 6-7 bridesmaid bouquets, and 8-12 boutonnieres and corsages. Our medium fresh floral kit affords additional flowers for centerpieces, and our large fresh floral kit provides flowers for everything in the small and medium packages plus flowers for 2 ceremony urns or cages for a pergola/arch arrangement.

1 White Ranunculus (sprayed with blush Design Master)

Fresh Floral Centerpiece

To build the centerpiece shown, we used the following:

2-3 Freedom Roses
2-3 Sahara Roses
2-3 Burgundy Carnations
3 Red Ranunculus
2 Romantic Antike Garden Roses
Sprigs of Salal, Nagi, & Seeded Eucalyptus

This arrangement was built in a 6″ compote vase (painted with gold spray paint) using floral chicken wire and waterproof floral tape.

Designer Tips for This Collection

Design Master Fresh Floral Spray Paint

Because these are fresh, perishable flowers, their color can always vary slightly. This is due to a variety of factors like soil pH, rainfall, sunlight, growing elevation, and where in the world the flowers were grown. Burgundies can be especially hard and when demand for this color spikes in the fall and winter, there is typically a shortage. To ensure you get the deep, rich burgundy color you want, we recommend having a can of Design Master on hand to do any color correcting and save yourself any sadness.

A few tips when working with Design Master:

Stay as close to the original flower color as possible. For example, if you want to have dark burgundy flowers, start by color correcting a red flower as opposed to a white one. The idea is to pull the eye in a specific direction instead of changing the original color completely.
Less is more. You can always trim more off of your bangs, pluck more hairs from your eyebrows, and add more color to your blooms. But you can’t add hair back to your bangs or brows, and you can’t take away a thick, heavy coating of spray paint. Like any other spray paint, use in a well ventilated area; start with light, even coats; and always keep your hand moving when applying.
