5 steps to nourish and care for your dyed hair with Kis haircare

Posted on November 19, 2024 by

Dyeing your hair is a fun and sometimes exciting way to give yourself a new look. Dyeing your hair is incredibly easy these days and you don’t even need to visit a hairdresser to do so. Still, hair dye can have a huge impact on your hair and it is essential to take good care of your coloured hair. Luckily, we have Kis for you! The brand Kis has developed a formula that cares for, nourishes and preserves coloured hair. In this blog, we explain in five steps how to care for your coloured hair with Kis haircare.

Step 1: cleanse and care for your hair with Kis shampoo

Washing your hair is one of the first steps you take when your hair has just been dyed. To make sure you keep your colour and restore your hair to the right nutrients it needs, we recommend using Kis colour shampoo.

In our range, you will find different types of Kis shampoos. Each shampoo is developed for different purposes. This is because every hair is different and the needs are therefore different for each hair type. So you will find different cleansing shampoos from Kis for dry and damaged hair. Think of the:

  • KeraControl Shampoo
  • KeraMax Shampoo
  • KeraMoist Shampoo
  • KeraScalp Healing Shampoo

But Kis shampoo is not only designed for cleansing. Especially when you have bleached or lightened your hair, your hair needs a shampoo that rinses out the yellowish colour. This is what the ”no-yellow” line is designed for. This silver shampoo neutralises the last remnants of yellow after dyeing. Perfect to use when you have just bleached your hair or had highlights dyed. From the no-yellow collection you will find, among others, the No-Yellow Shampoo (250ml). Does it sometimes feel like your shampoo evaporates in front of you? (Read: bulk consumer) Then we also have the No Yellow Shampoo in 1000ml especially for you.

Step 2: use the hydrating and nourishing Kis conditioner

After a lovely wash, it’s time to give your hair some extra nourishment. A normal conditioner can offer too little nourishment for hair that has just been dyed. That is why all Kis conditioners are based on a special formula that helps your hair absorb enough nutrients.

The first conditioner is the intensive colour conditioner, and it is specifically designed for different coloured hair. It comes in seven different shades that nourish and moisturise your hair so that the colour regains its freshness and radiance. An example is the Colour conditioner – Red. Prefer a more general conditioner for any colour? Then take a look at the KeraFresh Colour Conditioner.

Even if you prefer to use a conditioner mousse or leave-in conditioner, you have come to the right place. So you will find various Kis mousse conditioners and leave-in conditioners including:

  • Kis KeraMousse (500ml)
  • KeraShield Leave-In

Step 3: strengthen your hair with Kis’ special formula

When you have washed and conditioned your hair, you sometimes feel the need to give your hair that extra layer of reinforcement before styling. Luckily, our range offers a variety of different strengthening products to get this done.

For example, one of our recommendations is the KeraGlide Detangler. This cream provides quick anti-styling in dyed and naturally curly hair. Need an intensive treatment to nourish and strengthen your hair? Then take a look at the KeraMoist Treatment or the KeraMax Treatment. These cures are specially made for strengthening dry and damaged hair.

Step 4: protect your coloured hair

You have dyed your hair for a reason and naturally want to show it off. But finding the right styling products for dyed hair is not always easy. Dyed hair often needs stronger styling products than natural hair. That is why Kis haircare has designed its own line of styling products for dyed hair. Because we at A&F Cosmetics really believe in Kis products, you will find an extensive range of styling products including:

  • Kis Keraspray
  • Kis KeraWave
  • Kis Powder Bomb
  • Kis Soft Wax
  • Organic ArganOil Power Serum

Step 5: regularity = key

The most important step in caring for coloured hair is regularity. Dyeing your hair can have many consequences for your hair, especially if you don’t use any products afterwards to give your hair extra nourishment. That is why it is extremely important to (continue to) use the above products. Not only will this ensure that your hair gets the hydration and nutrients it needs, but it will also make your hair shine like never before. For real shine, we recommend the Shine Polish or the Kis Smoother.

Dyeing hair is great fun. However, dyed hair needs more attention than natural hair. By following these steps, you will make sure your hair shines and shines like never before. Still have questions about one of our Kis haircare products or perhaps about one of our other products? No problem. Just contact us and one of our experts will be happy to help you.

Have a great hair day!
