After announcing a similar deal with PSG last week, delivery giant Deliveroo have confirmed a major sponsorship agreement with Les Parisiens’ Ligue 1 rivals Lyon until 2022.

Deliveroo becomes a “major partner” for Olympique Lyonnais’ male and female football teams. Lyon is the city in France that uses the delivery service the second most behind Paris.
Deliveroo will be on the back of Lyon shirts for Ligue 1 matches and on the sleeves of the women’s team in the 1st division and for Women’s Champions’ League matches. Other exclusive deals and arrangements relating to the partnership will be announced down the line.
Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas had the following to say on the news: “The arrival of a shirt partner for both the male and female team sends a strong message. Deliveroo is a firm that is working to change the way things work and opting for a disruptive strategy. We are particularly honoured to include them as a new partner as part of the internationalisation of the Olympique Lyonnais ecosystem.”
