As reported by Le Parisien, PSG are close to finalising a move for Lille midfielder Renato Sanches.
Having seen an offer of €10m rejected by LOSC earlier this week, with fellow suitors AC Milan offering €16m for the player, PSG have today upped their bid to €12m, say the Paris paper, after Lille reconsidered PSG’s proposal and finally agreed to sell the Portuguese midfielder to the Ligue 1 champions with the player making it clear he only wanted to move to PSG and not Milan.
As with the impending signing of Reims striker Hugo Ekitike, it is hoped that the Sanches deal will be concluded in time for the 24-year-old to join up with the Paris squad before their pre-season tour of Japan which gets underway this weekend. Sanches will join PSG for little more than half of the €20m that LOSC paid Bayern Munich for the player back in 2019 while PSG have reportedly offered the former Swansea midfielder €6m a year in salary, trumping AC Milan’s offer of €4.5m.
