Paris Saint-Germain and Reims played out a 0-0 draw last weekend, with PSG defender Sergio Ramos receiving the second yellow card of the night following an argument between the former Real Madrid captain and the match referee.
As reported by L’Équipe, the Disciplinary Committee has ruled that Ramos will now serve a three-match suspension for the sending-off against Reims. The nature of one of the three bans remains suspended.
Following the decision, the Spaniard will now miss PSG’s clash in Le Classique against Olympique Marseille on Sunday and the game against Ajaccio in Ligue 1. However, he will be available for their Champions League games against Benfica and Maccabi Haifa.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions are already missing Presnel Kimpembe through an unfortunate injury. And thus, Ramos’ suspension could be a sign of caution for Christophe Galtier’s side.
In the 2022/23 season, the Spaniard, who joined the French side in the summer of 2021, has already made 15 appearances across all competitions, cementing himself as a central figure in the PSG defence.
