Raw comes to you live tonight and the go home show promises to be an exciting one just six days away from Survivor Series. Tonight we have advertised two HUGE returns, including the third member of the Shield, Roman Reigns, who is scheduled to reunite with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to go against the team of The Miz and the new WWE Tag Team Champions, Cesaro & Sheamus. This comes on the heels of Smackdown Live’s New Day interfering in last week’s matchup to distract the former tag champs and allowed Cesaro & Sheamus to pick up the victory.
Also, we will see a triple threat match between Bayley, Mickie James, and Dana Brooke to determine the final team member of Team Raw for the women’s 5-on-5 Survivor Series Elimination Match.
Lastly, we are going to hear from the beast, Brock Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman about the shocking change in opponents, as AJ Styles has defeated Jinder Mahal to win the WWE Championship and is now slated to face off against The Beast Incarnate on Sunday.
IN RING SEGMENT
The show starts with the commissioner of Monday Night Raw, Stephanie McMahon making her way to the ring to address the Raw crowd. Stephanie says that she has to make decisions that the regular folk wouldn’t understand, including appointing leaders such as the general manager of Monday Night Raw, Kurt Angle.
Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring, which adoring “You Suck” chants from the WWE Universe. Stephanie starts to question Kurt about The New Day’s involvement during Raw last week during the WWE Tag Team Championship match, and how he has failed over the last few weeks. She then starts to question Kurt about Kurt’s appointment of his son, Jason Jordan as the final member of Team Raw for Survivor series, while Team Smackdown appointed John Cena.
Kurt says that at Survivor Series, he is going to start the match and make a statement by breaking Shane McMahon’s ankle. Stephanie says that Kurt can no longer perform at that high of a level, and she perhaps has made a mistake by appointing him team captain of Team Raw, and that she doesn’t want Shane’s ankle, that she wants his head, and to have team Smackdown to be decimated. She says that she has no choice, and looked to be ready to fire Kurt when the music of the Shield hits!
We see Rollins and Ambrose at the top of the stairway in the middle of the WWE Universe, and Roman Reigns steps in, making his official return, and the trio make their way to the ring to address Stephanie and Kurt. Dean Ambrose gets on the mic, and says that if Stephanie is looking for a leader, Kurt Angle is it, and that at TLC, he proved that he still has it. Stephanie remarks that while Kurt may still have “it”, they are missing something, which is the WWE Tag Team Championship, and Kurt Angle is to blame, allowing The New Day to make them look like fools.
Stephanie turns to Roman and asks him “where have you been?” Roman retorts by saying, “where have YOU been?” Roman proceeds to cut a pretty decent promo, reminding Stephanie that while she has not been around for 6 or 7 months (after Triple H put her through a table), they don’t do what she says, they do what they want, and what they want is to square off against The New Day at Survivor Series! The challenge is laid out, and now we see if The New Day accepts! Great way to start the show!
