February 13 marked the two year anniversary of Kevin Owens’ betrayal of Chris Jericho in WWE. That betrayal came during the “Festival of Friendship,” which was supposed to be a celebration. But that celebration did not end well for Y2J.

Owens viciously attacked Jericho, ending a highly entertaining tag team run. From the moment the two men joined forces, Owens and Jericho were the highlight of the red brand.
Everything they touched turned to gold and every time they were on Monday Night Raw, it was must-see television. KO was the Universal champion during that time and Jericho was the United States champion. But their reign atop Raw had far less to do with titles and more to do with sheer entertainment value.
Many fans believe that this run was the best of Jericho’s career to that point. The same could be said of Owens, who really never had a better run before, or since. He and Chris had such amazing chemistry together and that chemistry led them to the top of WWE.
Jericho is no longer with WWE of course. Chris recently signed with All Elite Wrestling and will likely become a centerpiece for that company when it finally kicks into high gear. Owens has been out of action for several months due to injury but he recently revealed that he should be back sometime in March of 2019.
