Gabe Sapolsky Dispels Rumors Regarding Velveteen Dream EVOLVE Appearances
As we noted on Thursday, WWE NXT star Velveteen Dream will be competing at a pair of EVOLVE events on September 7th and 8th in Joppa, MD and Queens, NY. Dream will be facing Austin Theory and Darby Allin at the events.
Since the announcement was made, online speculation has been that Velveteen Dream was being “sent” to EVOLVE as a punishment for wearing “Call Me Up Vince” tights at NXT Takeover Brooklyn, however, EVOLVE’s Gabe Sapolsky, who also works for WWE, Tweeted the following killing any rumors regarding Dream’s EVOLVE status:
Let’s just kill this narrative now. Dream was requested by us because of his history at the MCW Arena in Joppa, MD. We wanted a homecoming. He was then asked to do Queens, to give the fans something special at La Boom. Dream was not “sent” by anyone, he agreed and wanted to. https://t.co/l3htPZHFln
