Paige recently spoke with Digital Spy about a variety of topics where she opened up on how she feels about WWE retiring the Divas Championship.
On retiring the Divas Championship:
“It was the end of an era for me,” Paige says. “The dream was always to become Divas Champion and now there’s no possible way I could ever become Women’s Champion and that’s the sad part for me, because [I] can’t go into the next era.”
“I think I’ve seen it an unhealthy amount of times now,” Paige continues. “I even purchased it on iTunes. I just watch it like every other day, it’s crazy. It’s on aeroplanes, in your hotel it’s there on the menu, it’s everywhere. It would be rude not to watch it.”
Possibly doing commentary:
“It’s not something I would enjoy as much as managing,” Paige says. “I feel like (managing) is more hands-on to me and I like that it feels like I’m being physical without actually being physical. I do enjoy doing the managing stuff and I’ll do guest commentary from time to time, but I’d rather leave that to Renee (Young) cause she’s killing it at the minute.”
