Arena was about 3/4 full with a smattering of empty seats
Throughout the night, Jeremy Borash fired up the crowd, and giving out passes to go backstage for the loudest fans.
Match 1: “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal defeated “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt with the flying elbow
Match 2: “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams defeated Consequences Creed with the Canadian Destroyer to retain the TNA X Division Title. Earl Hebner was introduced before the match, to a lot of “You Screwed Bret” chants.
Match 3: TNA Knockouts Match: Awesome Kong defeated Roxxy with Traci Brooks as the referee, with an inverted power bomb. After the match, Kong continued the assault. Traci tried to break it up, and received an awesome bomb in return.
Match 4: Beer Money (with Jacqueline) defeated Johnny Devine and “Showtime” Eric Young to retain the TNA Tag Team Titles. During the match, Devine turned on Young and threw him out of the ring. Young went under the ring, while Devine got laid out by Beer Money and suffered the pinfall. After the match, Devine challenged Young to come back out. Super Eric music hits, with Super Eric coming from under the ring and clearing Devine from the ring.
Match 5: Christian Cage defeated Booker T with the Unprettier
Intermission
Match 6: Team 3D defeated “The War Machine” Rhino and Abyss in a Long Island Tables Match. Team 3D hit 3D on Abyss through the table, to score the win. After the match, Brother Ray announced that their contracts had expired, and that their TNA future was uncertain. He said that tomorrow night in the Manhattan Center, the fans would know what the future would hold, for either “Team 3D or the Dudleys,” indicating a possible return to WWE.
As a big surprise, Jeremy Borash brought out “Long Island’s biggest wrestling fan” – none other than the very first TNA appearance of MICK FOLEY. Huge pop. Foley went around the ring and shook hands. He thanked everyone for their support and told us to keep our eyes out for him soon.
Match 7: Samoa Joe defeated Kurt Angle via submission with the rear-naked choke to retain the TNA World Title.
