— Another reason that WWE may have went ahead with the Raw tag team title change is to have a face vs. heel match at Survivor Series, as the original plan of Usos vs. Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose would have had two babyface teams going at it. Miz vs. Baron Corbin remains on schedule as a heel vs. heel match but WWE tried to ignite a storyline by having the two wrestlers create a Twitter war with each other.
— Hideo Itami is expected to be called up to WWE’s 205 Live imminently but ultimately, the call is Vince McMahon’s when it happens and even if it happens. At one point, Andrade Cien Almas and the Authors of Pain were expected to be on the list to make it to the main roster, but it’s almost the end of the year with no sign that they are leaving NXT. As for Itami, there is also speculation that he is interested in returning to Japan once his current WWE deal expires.
— Both Kevin Owen and Sami Zayn are expected back on Smackdown this week, though with this being Vince McMahon’s decision, he could very easily and quickly decide to keep them off TV.
