BURNABY MOUNTAIN, BC., Canada – U.S. men’s freestyle wrestlers dominated the action at the Hargobind International held at Simon Fraser University, winning six of the seven gold medals awarded.
Among the individual champions was 2012 U.S. Olympian and 2009 World bronze medalist Tervel Dlagnev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids) at 120 kg/264.5 lbs. Dlagnev defeated Canadian Sunny Dhinsa in the championship finals. It was a rematch of the finals at the 2011 Pan American Games, which was also won by Dlagnev. Dlagnev, a two-time Div.
