The New Day will be sticking together for many more months to come. In celebration of the team becoming the longest-reigning tag team champions in history, WWEShop.com released an official New Day-themed Tag Team Championship replica belt. The new championship apparently sold out in a matter of moments, and the team is consistently selling whatever they put out with great ease. The New Day ranks among some of the highest merchandise sellers in WWE today. As such, it’s fair to see that the team will not be splitting up or turning heel anytime soon.
On the most recent edition of Smackdown, a vignette hyping the arrival of the New Day was shown. Those vignettes are going to be airing on the show for a while. According to PWInsider, the current plan is for the group to remain out of action until Kofi KIngston has fully recovered from his recent ankle injury. Xavier Woods will likely be keeping himself busy with his UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, and Big E has announced plans to officiate weddings in the meantime.
Kofi KIngston underwent surgery for his injury this week, thus the New Day will likely be missing in action on WWE television for several weeks before they are ready to come back. The team will eventually be making their way over to Smackdown due to the Superstar Shakeup moving them there, and are likely bound to begin a feud with whoever is holding the Smackdown Tag Team Titles.
The 1st shipment of limited edition #NewDay titles has sold out at #WWEShop. But don’t be sour. More will be available in a few weeks. #WWE pic.twitter.com/z25I2FOXoN
