WWE is hyping that Brock Lesnar will announce which champion he’s going to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase on.
After making a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank and winning the men’s ladder match, Lesnar took part in the opening and main event segments of tonight’s Raw. It was revealed that Lesnar will be able to cash in his briefcase for a shot at either the Universal or WWE Championship. At the end of the episode, Paul Heyman told Lesnar they should come back next week and announce which champion he’s going after.
Universal Champion Seth Rollins & WWE Champion Kofi Kingston faced Bobby Lashley & Baron Corbin in a no disqualification match in the main event of this week’s Raw. After Rollins & Kingston won, there was a post-match angle where Lashley speared both of them. They avoided chair shots from Lashley, with Rollins kicking the chair into Lashley’s face.
Lesnar came down to the ring and teased cashing in to close the show but then walked back up the ramp.
When the no DQ stipulation was added to Rollins & Kingston vs. Lashley & Corbin, the commentary team questioned if the McMahons had something to do with it.
WWE hasn’t announced where Lesnar will be getting his title shot against either Rollins or Kingston. All three are advertised for Super ShowDown in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, June 7.
Lesnar lost the Universal title to Rollins at WrestleMania 35 last month.
