John Hennigan, who currently competes as Johnny Mundo and Johnny Impact, once wrestled for WWE for a number of years under the ring name John Morrison. Hennigan has been away from WWE for a number of years but has continued to make a name for himself elsewhere in wrestling. While speaking with CBS DC recently, Hennigan was asked if he’d be interested in a WWE return someday. Hennigan did not rule out the possibility of a WWE return in the future, but he said that he is still having fun competing outside of the company for right now. Hennigan wants to continue helping promotions such as MLW and Lucha Underground continue to grow, and he also stated, “there are a lot of really cool places to work outside of WWE, and I’m having a really great time doing that right now.”
Whenever The Riott Squad comes down to the ring on Monday Night Raw nowadays, fans are usually quick to notice that Liv Morgan has a blue tongue. Morgan has been sporting the blue tongue on Monday nights for quite a while now, and WWE cameras recently asked her why and how she changes the color of her tongue. According to Morgan, she is simply a fan of the color blue and candy. Before her matches, Morgan will usually eat candies such as Jolly Ranchers, which result in the tongue turning into a different color. Although she expected WWE officials to tell her to get rid of the blue tongue, company officials did not comment on Morgan’s tongue, so she just decided to keep the look.
When WWE announced the official launch of the NXT UK show and their official roster of British competitors, some fans were worried over how this would affect the United Kingdom’s thriving independent wrestling scene. While most NXT UK stars are still allowed to compete in promotions including ICW and PROGRESS, WWE is not making life easy for promotions such as Southside Wrestling. The promotion had been set to feature Joseph Conners and El Ligero teaming up to face The Rascalz on August 19th, but WWE pulled the former team from the show. Southside acknowledged that they are frustrated with WWE’s decision to pull the team from their show, but WWE’s UK talents are no longer permitted to work indy events one week prior to the NXT UK shows.
