Fans were excited to see the return of the Hardy Boyz in WWE earlier this year, but audiences have been anticipating the arrival of Matt Hardy’s “Broken” gimmick in WWE for quite some time now, especially ever since his brother Jeff got injured a few months ago. Matt has been teasing that a change is coming for a while now and it may be here at last. After losing to Bray Wyatt on Raw, a frustrated Matt Hardy began to breakdown in the ring and he did his “Delete” hand gesture several times. Hardy has since teased that the gimmick has returned on Twitter. Matt Hardy is reportedly coming close to wrapping up his legal battle against Anthem and Impact to secure the rights to the character.

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins reunited earlier this year and captured the Raw Tag Team Championships at the SummerSlam pay-per-view. The Shield has since been fully reunited as Roman Reigns has rejoined the group, but Rollins and Ambrose have since lost their championships. After defeating Cesaro on Raw, Seth Rollins noted that he and Ambrose wanted to win the titles back so that they could be champions alongside Reigns, who is the Intercontinental Champion at the moment. Rollins announced that he and Ambrose will be invoking their rematch clause for the titles against Sheamus and Cesaro on Raw next week.
There were quite a few notable absences on Raw this past Monday night. Dean Ambrose is one of the more surprising names to miss the show last night since he has become known for working every show, staying healthy, and never taking time off. The Raw commentary team, as well as Seth Rollins in his post-match interview after defeating Cesaro, noted that Ambrose missed the show because he is on his honeymoon. Sheamus was also nowhere to be found on the show and the announcers noted that the Irish superstar is currently taking his annual sabbatical in Ireland. Both wrestlers are scheduled to return next week to compete in the Raw Tag Team Championship match.
