Brock Lesnar returned to WWE TV last Sunday night at The Hell in a Cell PPV Event – the first time he has been around since dropping The WWE Universal Title to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam. This came as a surprise to many as most believed that Lesnar had wrapped up his WWE commitments and was now concentrating on getting into shape to return to The UFC in the first quarter of 2019.
However, as previously reported, there was never any official statement from Lesnar, WWE or UFC that officially closed this chapter of his tenure with WWE and as a result, there were whispers that Lesnar could potentially be appearing for both promotions or even simply staying with WWE. At the least, it was expected that he would be returning after his next UFC fight.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Lesnar is now expected to appear at “major WWE Events” moving forward, at least for the short term which probably means for the remainder of 2018. Lesnar is said to be “very much in WWE’s plans” and has already been scheduled and confirmed to wrestle at the next Saudi Arabia Event in early November in a Triple Threat Match against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns & Braun Strowman for The WWE Universal Title. With Lesnar also back in The USADA testing pool, he still has his sights on another UFC fight (which can’t happen until at least the beginning of 2019), essentially meaning that he is working for both companies.
