One of the more interesting storylines from this year has been the one which saw Kurt Angle reveal that he has a illegitimate son. After weeks of buildup, Angle finally revealed that American Alpha tag team member Jason Jordan is his son. Some fans have wondered why Jordan was selected for the storyline, and not Chad Gable, whose Olympic past seemed to fall more in line with Kurt Angle than Jordan’s past. While speaking with Fox Sports Australia, Angle said that “Gable reminds a lot of people of me. They’re both great talents, and the one who needed a bit more help and a bit of a rub was Jason. He is a little timid … but in the ring, he’s an animal. The entertainment factor — he might need a little more help. I think they made the right call because they both are going to be huge stars.“ Jordan has been receiving a solid mid-card push since the storyline began.
Jim Cornette is no stranger to controversy, especially if his thoughts on modern wrestling and feud with Vince Russo are any indication. However, he appears to have rekindled a rivalry against former WWE Superstar Santino Marella. During a convention at Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, the two began arguing, and the entire ordeal was caught on video. Reports of the two having differences have been around for over a decade, first beginning with reports of Cornette slapping Marella in Ohio Valley Wrestling. Cornette will likely address the situation eventually as the days go by. In the meantime, a video of the situation can be viewed below.
Sorry to anyone I missed at Cobo, some comedy midget wanted me to slap him AGAIN so he could sue since he’s unemployed. Walked out instead. https://t.co/ezgCj7mqLV

John Cena is currently working in Hollywood right now on a number of different film projects that he has committed to. He recently said that he would like to slow the pace of his wrestling career down as he gets older, so he was removed from the Survivor Series pay-per-view which he had previously been advertised for. It was reported that he would be working on some live events over the holiday season for WWE instead. Those reports appear to be accurate as Cena is now being advertised to appear at a Smackdown live event on 12/30 from Tampa, as well as Raw events on 12/26 in New York City, another in Uniondale, NY on 12/27, and one final one in Albany, NY on 12/29.
