In a major blunder, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that more than 600 crore voters in India, for the first time in 30 years, “voted a single party to power at the Centre”.
Well, India has a population of 125 crore and more than 80 crore people are registered as voters.

“In 2014, after three decades, 600 crore Indian voters for the first time gave complete majority to a political party to form a government at the Centre…,” the PM said during his address.
The mistake was overlooked by the official Twitter handle of the Prime Minister’s Office as well and it, too, tweeted the same mistake.
