Days after his heart surgery, 10-year-old Angelo Sylvio proudly held baby Rivana in his arms and smiled at flashing media cameras. Doctors and paramedics smiled at them, as they knew that though the children aren’t related, they’ll now share a close bond.

Angelo was admitted to a hospital in Seychelles as he was suffering from rheumatic heart disease, which affects the valves of the heart.
