The arctic weather in London and superfluous snow meant many editors missed Pitti this season as they were stranded at airports. The men’s trade show which launches the international fashion season, has seen 77 editions of its Florentine exhibition. Each season Pitti showcases a major designer to open the show, and for Autumn Winter 2010 Italian designer Corneliani was feted.
The Corneliani show at Pitti Uomo opened a series of events featuring big international names in men’s fashions and elegance, the companies that have long represented quality, excellence, product culture and choose Florence as the venue for showing their collections to the international press and top buyers.
Corneliani present the most glamorous side of sartorial tradition in a fantastic setting created in cooperation with Etienne Russo, at the Stazione Leopolda. The focus being all Italian – entrepreneurial and stylistic – a way of creating fashions and bringing excellence onto international markets.
