This week, the human rights lawyer was back to business in Manhattan, and she brought the ultimate work wardrobe for New York City’s unpredictable spring weather, complete with a rotation of fashionable jackets to beat those pesky April showers.

From an emerald leather trench by Michael Kors, which she wore on Tuesday with black-and-white separates, to the Alexander Wang mixed material jacket that she shares with rapper Cardi B., Mrs. Clooney knows her way around chilly temperatures. And, on Friday evening, she pulled out another surprising sartorial stop with a bright yellow Lanvin coat (shop similar here) for date night with her hubby, George.
The mom of two worked the canary yellow number as a dress, with her beige thigh-high boots hitting the jacket’s hemline. She offset the coat’s pop of color with a black velvet clutch and simple drop earrings. Her billowing waves added a crucial amount of understated glamour that Clooney is known for.
