The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruled that a judge had the right to seal the names of jurors in a gang-related murder trial because of fear of reprisals from gang members. The high court’s decision was unanimous. The Standard-Times of New Bedford sought the name of jurors who acquitted Manuel Silva of murdering a rival gang member in a 2005 trial. (4/6/07)
