Eighth Hong Kong Location Largest In Asia-Pacific Region
La Maison Canton Road
Having built up a strong presence since entering Hong Kong back in 1979, this week the French leather and luxury goods maker Longchamp launches its eighth — and by far its largest — location in the city, “La Maison Canton Road.” Located on bustling Canton Road in Kowloon, the 3,767 square foot location will comprise three floors, designed by architect Eric Carlson and consistent with the Longchamp global store concept originally rolled out in 2010. Swathed in a more than 2,000 square foot glass facade, the Maison is bathed in natural light, which floods sections dedicated to accessories, ready-to-wear womenswear and footwear.
The location, also Longchamp’s largest in the Asia-Pacific region, sits nearby other stores frequented by locals and visiting mainland Chinese tourist-shoppers alike, among them Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Dior and Lane Crawford.
In celebration of the opening of La Maison Canton Road, this week Longchamp will also debut an exclusive “La Maison Canton Road Clutch,” inspired by its 2012 fall collection. Featuring a distinctive Chinese dragon design, the calfskin clutch comes in two colors — Fire Red and Classic Black — and will be available only at the Canton Road location.
