Lucky Draw Giveaways Include Lady Gaga Tickets, Trip To Los Angeles

This week, Hong Kong retailer Lane Crawford rolls out its second partnership with American Apparel, a special pop-up space selling a range of best-selling basics, at the sprawling “lab concept” space in Admiralty’s Queensway Plaza.
Having opened in stages, Lane Crawford’s massive 64,000 square meter lab concept space, located across the sky bridge from Pacific Place, currently hosts a shoe and accessories section, “Shoespace” and “Faces,” a large cosmetics section. Fashion-wise, at the moment lab concept stocks several of Lane Crawford’s favorite designers and brands, including Theysken’s Theory, Alexander Wang, Phillip Lim, Scotch & Soda, Rag & Bone and Opening Ceremony.
As Hong Kong Hustle recently wrote of lab concept, the labyrinthine complex of pop-up shops is essentially “a curated shopping experience, bringing young, non-traditional labels that are having an impact on contemporary fashion, all under one roof.”
For its new partnership with American Apparel, in addition to the lab concept pop-up section — which includes some items for sale in special vending machines — Lane Crawford has invited several Hong Kong models, bloggers and DJs to model their favorite American Apparel products in a re-creation of the original “Seen on Blogs” project.
In addition, lab concept and American Apparel are hosting a lucky draw from the date of the store opening, April 18, through May 2, for customers who purchase a t-shirt or more. Winners will receive a range of prizes, with new items added daily, including a trip to the American Apparel factory in Los Angeles, gift cards, a new iPad, and tickets to Lady Gaga’s upcoming concert in Hong Kong.
American Apparel has been busy in Hong Kong as of late. In addition to the lab concept pop-up and giveaway, the American retailer is hard at work preparing the debut of its official Hong Kong online store.
