JOYCE Central Stocks Three Leading Bespoke Brands
British tailoring at JOYCE Central
Never content to rest on its laurels, this week leading Hong Kong-based luxury retailer JOYCE followed up the European launch of its Romeo Gigli capsule collection with a special bespoke tailoring section in its Central location featuring the work of three British heritage labels.
Giving Hong Kong menswear mavens a taste of Savile Row, the section includes Hayward, a favorite of Michael Caine and Mick Jagger established by the late Douglas Hayward in 1967 (and technically located off Savile Row, on Mount Street); Hardy Amies, formed in 1946 and now helmed by Claire Malcolm; and A. Sauvage, the most non-conformist of the bunch, led by up-and-coming fashion “It Boy” Adrian Sauvage.
For wayward Brits homesick for traditional London tailoring and Hong Kong’s suited-and-booted business types alike, this is a collection not to be missed.
